Terms of Service

Welcome to Hiwar (hiwar.cc). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Hiwar's platform, including all subdomains such as voicechat.hiwar.cc and listening.hiwar.cc. By creating an account or using any Hiwar service, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Hiwar

Hiwar is a language exchange and learning platform that provides:

• Voice Chat Rooms — live audio rooms for language exchange between native and learning speakers.
• Listening Tool — a transcription, translation, and vocabulary tool for video-based language learning.

Hiwar is operated as an independent platform and serves users globally.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Hiwar. By using the platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you may only use Hiwar with the consent of a parent or guardian.

3. Your Account

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information.
• Keep your credentials secure and not share them with others.
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Hiwar to:

• Post, share, or transmit content that is illegal, hateful, abusive, threatening, or discriminatory.
• Harass, bully, or harm other users.
• Impersonate other users or misrepresent your identity.
• Upload or transmit malware, spam, or any harmful code.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract data from the platform without authorization.
• Use the platform for any commercial purpose without our written consent.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. Paid Features & Subscriptions

Some features of Hiwar may require a paid subscription or one-time payment. All payments are processed by Paddle (our Merchant of Record), who acts as the seller of record and handles billing, invoicing, and tax compliance on our behalf. By purchasing, you agree to Paddle's terms in addition to ours.

Subscription plans automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your account settings.

6. Voice Rooms & User-Generated Content

By participating in voice rooms or submitting content on Hiwar:

• You retain ownership of your content.
• You grant Hiwar a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and transmit your content solely for operating the platform.
• You are solely responsible for everything you say or share in voice rooms and chats.
• You acknowledge that voice rooms are live and not pre-moderated.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, software, and materials provided by Hiwar (excluding user-generated content) are owned by Hiwar or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the platform without explicit written permission.

8. Disclaimers

Hiwar is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure.
• Results from using the platform will meet your expectations.
• All user-generated content on the platform is accurate or reliable.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hiwar and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we determine you have violated these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may also delete your account at any time by contacting us.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Hiwar after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable international law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if unresolved, through binding arbitration or a court of competent jurisdiction.
